Do you read and reread material several times and still remember only a few details? Do you have trouble remembering information or learning new information? Do you have difficulty getting organized? Are you struggling with learning and/or communication difficulties?

  • Avoid reading

  • Read when necessary rather than for pleasure

  • Reread material several times and still remember only a few details, instead of the whole idea

  • Difficulty organizing what to say

  • Write with simpler words than those used when speaking

  • Frequently ask how to spell words when writing

  • Substitute words rather than reading the exact words in the text

  • Read very slowly

  • Understand only part of an oral direction, have difficulty completing a task or reaching a destination

  • Don’t get jokes

  • Mispronounce words even after being corrected

  • Add, omit or reverse sounds in words when reading or speaking

  • Add, omit or reverse letters when spelling and writing

  • Ask to take forms and applications home, rather than completing them on site

  • Ask for a name to be respelled repeatedly
